ProSurvival makes some pretty decent survival kits from time to time, even if they are a bit expensive. With this waterproof pocket survival kit, they have teamed up with Otterbox, maker of super durable iPad hard cases, to release a pretty cool kit that comes in a very sturdy and water proof container. The kit comes with a good deal of necessary and useful equipment including a fire starter, signal whistle, tinder, water purification tabs, a compass with luminous markings, a super bright led flashlight, chicken stock bullion cube, a swiss army pocket knife, and a ton more!
They say they’ve been working for over a year on this kit, they claim that this kit is small in size but big in readiness. It is small and pocket sized for sure, and weighs just about 9 ounces, which is nice if you are carrying it in your cargo pocket. So points on size, and points on style with the Otterbox case.
For the price, it seems like this kit is a little sparse, and we imagine that for almost $100, you are paying mostly for the Otterbox hard case. However, the kit does include some pretty handy gear that can be used in an actual survival situation. We would have liked to see if they could have squeezed in a survival blanket and a bit of fishing gear or at least safety pins into the kit. If you want a high end survival kit in a super cool container, then the ProSurvival Pocket Survival Kit is a good place to start.
